LOOK at this stock IRS with the "Basic Drag Kit" installed. The Half Shaft and the Strut Arm (indicated by yellow lines) are nearly parallel. This means quicker, more consistent 60 ft. times! SAFETY LOOPS FOR HALF SHAFTS FOR

C-2,C-3,AND C-4 CORVETTES!!!

DragVette Safety Loops bolt on to trailing arms. We have many models similar to this for the 1963 to 1982 models.


NEW SAFETY LOOPS AVAILABLE FOR THE INSIDE PART OF THE DRIVE SHAFT PICTURE TO BE AVAILABLE SOON! Here is a must have for anyone that likes to push hard on the loud pedal and enjoy the thrill of driving a Corvette. In case of BREAKAGE, it's nice to know the safety loops will minimize any damage. I have seen the shocks, glove compartment and battery box destroyed. An engine spinning at 3000 rpm will swing the 12 pound half shaft around 16 times a second. When something lets loose and the engine revs up, it will take you five seconds to shut the ignition off. Ouch! That's really going to hurt the billfold, not to mention your classic ride. Has any one called me and let me know how my safety loops performed? Yes they have. I am pleased that all reported cases did not have any additional damage to their Corvettes. Including a 63 that broke universals (with grease zerts) at both ends of the half shaft and bent his trailing arm. He was relieved to see there was no body damage.

The picture just above this paragraph illustrates a one- piece DragVette Safety Loop for the 1984 to 1996 Corvettes attached to a 1985 Corvette rear differential cover. It's priced at $139.00 a pair. Directly below is a two piece safety loops for the 84 to 96 model Corvettes. Installation of the two piece safety loop doesn't require the removal of the drive shaft or dropping the strut arms. Installation doesn't get easier than this one that's listed at $179.00 a pair.



Our main drive shaft safety loop fits most 1969 to 1979 Corvettes. Our drive shaft safety loop bolts into existing holes in the the cross member making installation a snap. We also make custom units for special cross members and for the 63 to 68 Corvettes. The basis unit is priced at $98.00 it will accommodate Turbo 350s, 400s, the 200r4 and Power Glides. The extended version will accommodate the 700R4 and all longer manual transmissions. It is priced at $149.00. Do you think a safety loop mounted to your floor will keep the drive shaft out of your seat? I know of more than one occasion the drive shaft has come up through the floor.

A snug fit allows the maximum clearance between the safety loop and the drive shaft.The bottom half of loop is removable.

These brand new 3" Dia. half shafts fit 1963 to 1979 Corvettes. priced at $379.00 a pair. They arrive as pictured with solid Spicer universals and flanges. Sorry there has been a recent raise in price from my supplier. I will be looking for a different source in the mean time this is the best I can do. 3" Dia. half shafts for 1980 to 82 Corvettes are available. These are built when ordered and priced at $379.00. Complete with 1350 solid Spicer universals that will bolt into the manual side yoke and wheel flange. The heavy duty side yokes are available for these units. The 80 to 82 half shaft do not include a flange as pictured below. Lead time is usually 7-10 working days for the 80 to 82 half shafts so plan ahead for these babies. The 63 to 79 are in stock.
